Let’s chat about natural soap colors for a moment. What makes them, why your soap colors might be different from mine, and how you can perfect your botanical infusions and slurries to make consistent natural soap colors with every batch.
As the video explains, there are a few things to keep in mind about natural soap colors.
- Your botanicals might be different than mine
- Your soap base may be a different color than mine
- Some colorants are water soluble vs. oil soluble (snag my color chart for a cheat sheet!)
As far as determining how much colorant to use, you can of course use my suggests as a starting point, but keep in mind that the items listed above will effect your outcome. So, you’ll have to experiment with your own colors (the botanicals, the infusions, and your soap base).
